Keenan met Ms. Taylor as he was completing his GED and she helped him see that although his path to completing high school was different, it didn't mean that he wasn't successful.

Keenan shares his favorite teacher story who was his grandmother, Valerie Randolph, an English teacher for Memphis City Schools. She encouraged him to go back to school to finish high school. When Keenan went back to school to get his his GED and Ms. Taylor helped Keenan see that he was successful and because his journey was different didn’t mean that he was less than.
