“Our Favorite Teachers” is more than just a platform; it’s a heartfelt celebration of these remarkable individuals who leave indelible imprints on our lives. Here, we honor their invaluable contributions, sharing stories that highlight the profound influence of educators and the enduring gratitude they inspire.
Our Founder
Dr. Washington is a fourth generation educator who was inspired by his maternal great, great grandfather Richard Adkins. Richard was born in 1860 in Hudsonville, MS where he learned to read, write, and mathematics. At the end of each work day, Richard taught others who lived in the community.
With no pay or expectation of reward, Richard changed the trajectory of his family for generations to come.
Our Board
The Board of Directors at Our Favorite Teachers consists of individuals who serve in their own respective communities with a heart for public education. These dynamic individuals give their time, intellectual capital, and other resources to support teachers and public education throughout the country and the world.
